I recommend this place to everyone into any type of aquarium hobby, fish, reptile, inverts anything. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Takes time with his customers to explain what you don’t know but felt stupid asking, not here, no question is too stupid believe me I know. The guys in the store are also very knowledgeable, very helpful and extremely polite. I have been looking for a really friendly LFS and I have finally found one. There stock of fish is amazing, as well as all the accessories you could possibly need, the store is amazingly well stocked with everything from old school supplies to the most up to date necessities. All the fish are lively and active not laying in the bottom of the tanks like so many other stores. If you’ve tried all the other LFS’s try this one you will look no further.

I will never shop here again. This was the first store I entered when starting my salwater tank. I asked a lot of questions. I had also done a lot of research online as well. They told me online research is bad. All of their answers conflicted with all of the research I’d done. They told me I don’t need an RO/DI system and that I could get ANY fish or coral even though I’m a beginner. What?! Then we talked about equipment. The light they sold me was subpar for my needs and I really don’t even think the young man there knew this. I really think he thought the light he sold me was the best one to offer, which is sad that employees don’t know their stuff. Or maybe this was the best they had to offer in the store in general and instead of being honest with me he just showed me the one I bought. When I used it for the first time I knew it wasn’t enough. Without rock the light is good. But once I started to put rock inside the tank, the light gets blocked out (the light just isn’t strong enough). What’s worse is that they ripped me off on the price. That light, I found out, is not worth what I paid for it! It’s not all their fault as I clearly should have done more research and gotten a second opinion before purchasing anything from them. I’ve started going to another store. Aquatic Wildlife. They’re the best. All of their answers correspond with my research. Those guys clearly know what they’re talking about. And they’re not in it for the money like I believe the guys at this store are. I won’t be back to this store again. They might be able to help someone else, but they weren’t able to help me.

Many people don’t use RO/DI water, they use tap water and have perfectly beautiful thriving tanks. If you have truly done research then you would know this. As for lighting there is no possible way illuminate every part of the tank especially with rock in the way, again you should look on the web at other tanks and you will see this. My experience with Aquatic Wildlife was the total reverse of yours, and I’ve been there several times. Their prices are off the wall! The owner is very knowledgeable and comes across that way and I am not a beginner. Each to his own I guess. Good luck in your endeavors!

Do you have a 265 gallon fish tank stand for sale in your store, if not do you know where I could purchase one. I am looking for the stand only.

    Thanks

Gross, reptiles w dirty water snakes w mites skinny fish and reptiles. There was so much algae on the tank walls I couldnt see the fish, I saw every bone in this one reptiles body head sucken in she saidd yea we feed it, yea I’m sure u do! Bunny and guinea pigs food was caked in urine no hay which is also a part of there diet and hamsters rats and gerbil cages looked like they havnt got cleaned in a few days. There was tons of product scattered on the floor very disorganiZed. If I were u I wouldn’t shop there infact maybe they should be reported? I also work in pet industry and that is unacceptable!
